The ambitious project of a floating market is planned for the centre of Buriram.
To be located between the Rama roundabout and the new "Box" market, the total land area including the Box Market is said to be eight Rai.
Completion is expected in as little as six months. All of this according to a spokesman at the site today.
The site is to comprise of a large lake, with a floating market, islands in the centre of the lake and bridges crossing the body of water.
No doubt shops, restaurants and bars, to add commercial value to the site, will also surround the water.
We shall be keeping you updated with any further news and progress.
